battery died, now won't idle
Ok, So, i have a 2001 Stratus R/t well, the other night i was camping and left the radio on all night, and woke up with a dead battery. i jump started the car no problem, but then now it will not idle. this also happened one other time when i first got the car and killed the battery. I've heard that the computer will lose its idling speed or what not if the battery dies. and im sure thats all it is, but i am wondering what i can do about it to make it idle correctly again, someone PLEASE help me out here, i don't want to have to take it in somewhere if it will just correct itself again soon. but i also dont want to have to keep re-starting my car every time i come to a stop sign/light.
I'd try to let it recalibrate itself one more time.
Reset the ECU by pulling the battery cable for a couple minutes. Reconnect.
Restart the car and let idle until warm. Avoid "blipping" or moving the throttle durring the learning process.
