Default Confused???????

alright guys i have a 2005 stratus SXT and iver heard that the engine bay can fit a 1G mitsubishi eclipse motor now is that the turbo or the non-turbo and will the factory tranny fit onto this motor im not sure what the model for the engine is i just know its for a 1G eclipse.. PLZ HELP

correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't the 1st gen eclipses all wheel drive turbos?

the gsx iis all wheel drive but the gs-t isn't, but both are turboed

yea i realize that and im not looking to change the whole entire thing to all wheel drive i just want the gs-t engine which im pretty sure should fit but not sure if the stratus tranny will fit onto the engine anyone know?

cool idea. Don't know if it will work, mitsubishi and dodge are two totally diff comps and I don't know much, But I would say no they wouldn't match up too well. I wouldn't put the eclipse motor in anyhow. I have plenty of friends with eclipse's and they have nothing but problems. IMO its not worth it.

yea but if they even sold turbos for the original engine they probably be expensive as hell

Nothing major, just a whole bunch of minor things really. THey are a lot of maitenence. Yes an original turbo for your car would be very expensive, but if you are talking about dropping a whole new motor with a turbo already on thats a lot of money as well. Search Ebay, junk yards, or just around. You'll be suprised what you find. I'm eventually looking to supercharge my engine, I hate turbo's, honestly I'd rather have all the power at once. Many people disagree, but a bolt on SC would be easier to find than a turbo or an eclipse motor with a turb and then installing it.
