About the fuel filter in my 01' startus se sedan

my mechanic friend cannot find the filter.
he said it might be inside the gas tank.

is there anybody can tell me where is the fuel filter of my car?
is it really inside the gas tank like Dodge Neon?

if ur mechanic friend can't find ur fuel filter then i would bet that it is in the gas tank... i believe from '99 and newer they were put in the tank with the fuel pump and the pressure regulator.

the stratus coupes and the second gen strati, have the filter on the fuel sender, and they are combination filter/ fpr units

and how much to let the gas station to change the fuel filter? if u know about it.
