Default Trying to find a door panel part for a 2001 Stratus Coupe...

Without having to buy the whole panel. The cup/handle/plastic-control-panel-cover-thing has snapped off (meaning the screw is still screwed in) of the front passenger side of my vehicle and the only way I've found to replace it is by ordering a new door panel. I've checked all the local yards with no luck at all. I'd rather not spend $400 if I don't have to. If anyone knows of any solutions to my problem, please let me know. Also, please let me know if you require more details. I think I can come up with a picture if need be.

Here's the handle:

Notice the bottom clip is snapped (as are the others) and the screw is still screwed in. This is what I need replaced, but dealers aren't helping me at all.

If you still need parts for this car, I know of someone that just wrecked his car and is parting it out. If you are interested, Send me a message and I will hook you up

Months go by, and I now have time to actually put effort into finding said door panel. From what I can tell, the cup holder-thing was heat-treated in so the clips just snapped off while the bottoms stuck to the panel itself. From the looks of it, it seems I'm going to have to replace the whole door panel and no scrap yards within a 100 mile radius have the specific part in the right color/model I need. That is, unless I'm mistaken and can get the part needed and put it in with relative ease. Thanks for any assistance... I'm gonna keep on top of this thread this time.

Can't help with your door panel but how's your paint holding up? My black 2001 R/T developed white blotches on the roof in '03 and it has spread all over, some places down to base coat. Last year a local dealer blew off my request to fix it (under 36K) so now I am going direct to main office and hoping for the best. I have 45K but it's obvious this is a long term problem. If no satisfaction, I'll be posting the unsightly mess on a webpage for all prospective buyers to see..My husband's Dakota is red and looks brand new, bought a month earlier. Love my car but can't recommend it if I have major expense of a paint job!

lordnikon........I've got the same problem with my 2001 Dodge Stratus sedan both front right and rear right door panel. I'm not going to pay $400. either. Wonder if someone would be talented enough to MOLD a new door handle hole (or whatever that is) or if this is a cronic problem which I believe it is, then Chrysler should repair!
