motor mounts in a 2001 3.0
I have read some posts that people have problems with a creaking/screeching type noise coming from the drivers side front wheel area. I hear that there seems to be an issue with the motor mount blowing out. I have checked all the local parts stores and can't seem to get a replacment part anywhere. Anyone have any ideas on where to get new ones? I'm not looking for high performance, just a normal mount.
Also, any advise on changing them from someone who's been through it? I have a family member who's going to do the work but wondering if there's any inside info I should tell him.

ive done the front and rear mounts, and the next in line is the trans mount. the performance mounts arent slightly more expensive, but much better quality than the OEM part, which (if im not mistaken) youll have to get from the stealership.
after replacing the front and rear mount, i still have some creaking in certain temp ranges, so the next move will be to replace the trans side mount. i can answer any questions about the front and rear, and deyeme racing (who made my mounts) has a pictoral DIY for the trans side mount. the front is REALLY easy...the back wasnt really hard, but its tough to get to, and would be hard to do without a helper....to get the cross-through bolt on and off, tell him to have someone under the car for the back side of the bolt, and to run a long extension through the drivers side wheel well with an impact gun. its MUCH easier than trying to squeeze down from the top.
