Stratus milage?
i have an 02 stratus r/t 3.0l i just broke the 90,000 mi mark and the only prob was my clutch went but besides that the car still runs fantastic i could not ask for a better car
Edit: just to add that i have had my car since 58,000 mi and i drive pretty "spiritedly" and shes still running great

I have an 04 Coupe 2.4L with 57,000 miles. The only thing I have had to fix was the power side view mirrors stopped working, one of the coil packs was causing misfires with the A/C on, and the oil sensor needed cleaned. Other than that, only regular maintenance.
Wifes stratus - 90,000 miles, we bought it with 84K We know no history of the car.
3.0 ES, as in non R/T 4 speed auto,
The only problem WE have had is the paint looks like ****. No telling why
In extreme cold, it is a little noisy when it first stars, but that goes away after a couple minutes, just fades... The sunroof sometimes does not cooperate well. Everyting works good,
So that is one stratus story...

I think i am actualey more leaning twords the intrepids i like the looks of them more and dispite the electrical problems they are said to have they appeal to me!! Thanks for all the info though!!
You cant kill a stratus thats for damn shure.
A buddy of mine had a 95 Stratus, bought it in perfect condition and destroyed it in a span of a year, this car became our teenage monster truck. Heres a list of **** that happened to the car before it finally got sent to the salvage yard at 210 thousand miles and the car still ran, horribly but when you read what we did to it its quite a feat, and my friend bought it at 100 thousand.
Driven into numerous concrete barriers.
Had the air intake taken off at about 110 thousand miles with no air filter to speak of, mind you we never corrected this.
Taken "off roading"
Taken off whole exhaust system.
At 130 thousand miles we put the new alternator in incorectly (on purpose mind you). The car still ran off that thing.
Was driven through 3 1/2ft of standing water one drunken night, car forged it and still ran.
At 140 thousand miles we spent a week trying to fry the transmission. We managed to make it so the car would not leave second gear and you had to manually shift from first to second and so on.
At 145 after we fried the tranny we took two of the plug wires out and the car still performed "flawlessly".
Crused down many freeways at about 70 mph with the car bounching off the rev limiter in second gear.
Numerous neutral drops to "race" Mustangs, Trans Ams, Camaros, M5's and 3's even the accasional Ferrari, I promis you the stratus was a monster
.
Numerous hits to the engine block with ball ping hammers.
I could go on but I think you all get the jist of what kind of car the 2.4L stratus is.

Have a '99 Stratus with bad eyes; glaucoma of the plastic headlamp covers. Anyone have success with buffing them out with rubbing compound? Any other ideas? Don't relish $200 + to replace them with the same factory crap. Otherwise I love my little grey moth.
heres a link to show u what u can do (its in the Neon forum but should be all the same for the most part)

Hmmm got a 2004 Stratus coupe with the 2.4L and no problems at all other than the damn door likes to fly back at me when I open it sometimes and the light burnt out under the automatic cluster. But other than that it is going stong with about 60,000 on it. Oh yeah, damn condinsation in driver side headlight!
