For example....both are first generation models....both are high mileage....but that's about it...
Based on what I do know about the cars....I'd probably take the Intrepid. Bigger car, comparable gas mileage.....and its got fewer miles over the life of the car.....

lol, if i knew more about the engine type and what not i would gladly post it. All I know is the Strat is a white 4 door good condition the trep is a off white and is in great condition.
I started my search for a strat but im really liking this intrepid i found i go look at it every day!!
I was actualey crusing around town today in my old beat up 94 sunbird and i noticed out of the corner of my eye an older model trepid and i pulled in checked it out its a teal looking colorgood body but im not sure on the miles and im not sure on the year!! All I know is its 1,500 OBO but its not the model im looking for its nice but the color isnt me and the seats arnt either its more of the "girlier" car!!

well ive heard horor stories about electrical problems in the intrepids; the radio, power options, etc... cutting out and working when they want to at times. Ive heard of at least 4 different people with the same problems, new and old intrepids. Just a little info. hope it helps

I would take the Intrepid. It is bigger, I just like it better.
The mileage does not matter cause there is negligible difference.
Keep in mind the 99 is still newer and has seen less of the elements.
Ultimately, go for the car that is going to need the fewest repairs.

I had a 2000 Stratus that had the 2.5 V6. Before we bought it, we test drove the Intrepids too. The Intrepid had a little better power and lots more room. My wife prefered the Stratus, but I liked the Intrepid. With my Stratus, sometimes I just didn't feel safe pulling into traffic. I'd go with the Intrepid.
