Cylinder head torque and new tensioner
Hi. I have to replace the head gasket on my Stratus 98 2.4 (As alot of Stratus owner [:@]) In the Haynes manual, they say to torque each bolt to 25lbs, after to 50 lbs, to do another 50 lbs pass and finally, at the 4th pass, turn 90 degres. I did it following the tighting sequence but I'm not very secure with this procedure. Can somebody confirms me that I'm alright with this? Also, the tensioner has already been replaced this spring due to a bearing failure. This is the new type used in the late 2.4 models. In the Haynes manual, they only show how to lock the tensioner with a 3 and 6 mm allen key for the older version. Can somebody told me how to do it so I'll be able to reinstall the timing belt? Thanks alot to any help provided.
