Default Power Steering system

My son has a 1998 Plymouth Neon 2.2 and he was talked into replacing a perfectly good engine with a 1998 Stratus 2.4 L engine
the problem is once it was installed we found out that the power steering pump , pulley and other components were not installed. It was not done by a garage , it was done by a friend of his.
It is my understanding that the Stratus bracket securing the power steering pump will not fit nor will the Neon's. Since we still have the Neon Rack in it the pump and hoses needed will have to match the Neons.
How can we replace the power steering system
To be more specific, what bracket can we use to mount the power steering pump and the remaining components necessary to get
the power steering to work. And what modifications are we going to need to correct it. For my state of Pa, i believe the power steering system must br workable to get the car inspected and the current inspection sticker runs out shortle
It is my understanding that maybe a 2001 PT Cruisier 2/4 lL power steering pump mounting bracket will work with little modification,
any thoughts on the matter and suggestions
I tried to view on line a picture of both the Stratus and Noen engines and have not found a site that would allow me to do so. Does anyone know of a site where I can get a full view of both the 2.4 and the 2.2 engines and complete spec's

Default RE: Power Steering system

if you havn't yet go to the 1st gen neon part of this site and get a hold of das2123 he is the "MAN". i would try using the ps bracket and pump form the newer eng, you may need longer hoses (don't know). the fittings should be the same, if not try the local parts store for adapters. good luck
