Digital Instrumentation - Whats on the lower left?
Just bought a 2004 Stratus ES last week. It didn't come with an owners manual. I'm trying to figure out what, if anything, illuminates in the areabelow thetach, in the digital readout area. As you're well aware, the right side shows the mileage and the transmission selection. Nothing lights up on the left sideduring startup. I guess I was hoping its got a mileage calculator, or oil-life readout, or something useful there that's just not working.
While I'm here, I noticed that while traveling with the cruise control engaged,if Idecend downa hill the transmission downshifts. I assume its happening as designed to slow my decent, but I wanted to double check with people more familiar with it since I've never driven a car where that has happened before. Thanks again.
