Default Need some help

Hi Guys,

I purchased a 96 Dodge Viper RT10 about a year and a half ago... Recently I left my headlights on and drained the battary.... I tried to jump it but its completly drained.

I need help locating the battary so I can replace it...... Only I have no clue on where its located.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks
Viper_Josh

Here are some tips

1. You can try to charge with a battery charger from under the hood. The positive terminal is on the driver side behind where the Viper emblem would be if the hood was closed, should be hidden with a plastic cover that will swing open, should say something like Positive or + terminal. There is a ground to hook up to down next to the side sill, near the front of the sill (may have to remove a plastic cover to expose the ground). When youdo this remove the cables from the positive terminal, charge, put cables back (do not over tighten, can not stress this enough). Then reset your alarm (press the unlock button on your key fob).

or

2. Your battery is located in the drivers side rear wheel well.
-Remove tire
-When you do this you will see that the rear part of the wheel well is removeable. A few screws and clips in the wheel well along the "seam" and a couplescrews just behind the wheel well. Once removed it will be obvious from there.
