Very close to buying a Viper in the near future.
I have the Dakota R/T right now. It will be paid off the end of Feb.
and ill be paying my insurance on it annually. making it VERY easy for me to set aside about 1k a month in savings, along with my tax return, im thinking close to 13k-14k at the end of the year, i want to put down on a viper.
I already have a model in mind. A want a 96 GTS with less then 90k on it.
My truck will be returned to stock and all performance parts will be sold to help pay it off, my truck will be the DD and my Viper will be the weekend driver.
Its my dream car and i MUST have one, and it would probably get better MPG then my damn truck lol...
i checked auto trader for Vipers and the cheapest i could find was 38k for one with 96K miles on it, the ones in the upper 40s had about 15-20k on them.. not bad at all for a damn 96...
Anyone happen to know of a good site/place to purchase vipers. Of course ill need something like a payment plan, i cant just drop 30-40k overnight.... and i don't want to be 50 before i get one.
My All time Dream would be able to own a Hennessy or ACR viper.. but it wont happen, unless i get a damn good tech job from a simple A+ Cert... pfft.. ya right..

There's lots of good sites out there. Join up at viper club of america's forum and they can probably help point you in the right direction. You may want to talk to your bank first, depending on how long you want to finance it. Usually they won't finance very long for a 96, so something to think about.
You thought of an SRT at all? They're going CHEAP right now.

Yes ive thought of them all, but the GTS is just the most appealing to me.
and i think i jinxed myself, i made this post getting myself all hyped up about owning a viper soon.. and today at work, we had a long speech about how we could all loose our jobs soon if we don't start watching our quality. At&T will drop us like a hat and the whole place will go under.
Sad thing is half of the people there are low life temps that cont care about there job. Since ive worked my *** off to get in good with management and the only 1 left out of a class of 50 they hired on.
Its ok though... everyone i work with 98.3% voted for obama so they could loose there job and have the people that work hard for there money pay for there needs.
little off topic, but how is it possible that me and someone else claim 0 on W2 yet they take out 50% more out of mine then hers... only diffrence is our skin color and she is female...
its so funny, now i know why they dont let employees look at each others pay stubs or talk about it. I can work 10-20hours of overtime, she can work maybe 5-7 and make more then me... pathetic...
but ya anyways...
as for the Viper idea, its probably going to be shot out the window into a pile of steaming ****, because people are to busy talking and not doing there work right to give a flying rats *** about anyone else.
Im a leader in my Cell i check everyones work, i tell them what to do.. i can tell the same person 50x times the right way to do it and they still do it... I think its cuz im white in a black/brown/yellow country!

Corvettes are faster, better mpgs, cheaper, more reliable, and they don't sound like two 4 bangers fighting each other under the hood. I used to like vipers until I heard on run, then I saw one at the track get smoked my a cammed ls1 camaro.

and because you "saw" ONE viper get beat by a "cammed" ls1 you dont like them... LMFAO!! What are you 12?
I can easily mod a GTS and keep it street legal and annihilate everything you mention above and look stunning doing it.
