Last racing weekend at Zandvoort (Netherlands) one of two GT2 racing Vipers, produced by Oreca, was heavily damaged when a Corvette GT1 spun on the standing water and smashed into it. A serious case of aquaplaning! Luckily all drivers were unhurt. Here are some HD pictures of the crash:

 

The good news is that the Viper was leading the race (on intermediate tires). The Corvette was 2nd in the race (full wets; rain tires). Guess both tires couldn't handle the massive rain.
