ViperGTS, do we know if they are going to stick with the T-56 Tremec Borg-Warner for this model? I thought they already were using multi-port fuel injection with the V10. Has there been any hints about offering a Multi-Displacement System, if it is a HEMI based V10? Will it still be a OHV 2 valve per cylinder design or is this increase a possible result of switching to a SOHC or DOHC 4 valves per cylinder design?
No idea. I haven't recieved much information. Most of the things should still be up in the air since the 08' Viper's new setup is just rumored.

Wouldn't be a bad idea. Some wealthy people are probably prevented from buying this car because of the manual transmission. Fine by me.

Do not like the idea. I could care less if Mercedes and BMW owners want an auto Viper so they can "drive" it. It is not that hard to learn!

As for someone with a disabilty prevetning a manual car purchase.... I am torn on that arguement.

All great supercars are manuals. Instead of making it this or that....why not an autostick?

You can drive legally on real public roads?

if you have a disability that prevents you from something as simple as driving a manual transmission, you dont need to be behind the wheel of a high performance car or truck. i had a customer back when i was a mechanic who used those arm braces when he walked, like in forrest gump (i dont know what they are actually called)...and he could barely walk, even with them.

but he drove a modded STi, with a performance clutch, and the car Really moved...so even with his ailments, he was able to drive a car with a very stiff, and very touchy clutch. i drove it a few times, and it was alot of fun to drive...

Automatic Viper just does not sound right! Way back when the Prowlers were on the sales lot the X-wife really wanted one but wouldn't buy one without a stick (should have seen the salesmans face) she told him a car like this witout having manual transmission was a piece of engineering mistake, she went and bought a vette with a stick.(last car with x was 02 NHRA Trans-Am with a stick) miss the car more than her!

Bottom line, real sporty like cars have manual transmissions.

My neighbor's arms were blown off after he was working on a telephone pole. He's got these weird hook prosthetic arms now and he still can drive. I can't see why the government would let anyone disabled badly drive. Your reaction time would probably be the same, but functioning would slow the person down..
