True speed!
This is from Dodge, everything about any car I use is from the car company. In the way of Dimensions and such. So what doesn't sound right? The only think I had to assume on is the percent lost, and I think 10% is more than fair.

I was a little bit off on that and it does differ for each car depending on frontal area, and drag. Nevertheless a good rule of tumb if you don't want to use the equation is 5 mph=1hp for speeds above 190. With the viper I think it came to about 4=1.
More than likely you are right. THats why I believe in GPS and lazer with the midde being the true speed. Not many companies are testing that way, but I think Ferrari is one. A good example of that was there 550. Everyone was saying it would do over 200 but Ferrari said no 199.
So what doesn't sound right?

I totally agree with you. The viper should have a lower coefficient, but all my numbers on the viper; I get from Dodge. If you look at the G35 coupe. It has a CD of about .29, and it makes no lift. THat is crazy to think about. One of the easiest ways Dodge could lower the vipers drag is to put a negitive lift plate on the viper. In other words coat the bottom of the car so that it is slick. That alone could drop the Cd by .05-.06 or so.
