Tell me.......

1. how many types of vipers (models) are there for years 02-05?
2. what is a "mamba" viper and how is it different from others?
3. is ebay a place you would purchase from?
4. how is the maintenance (expensive, often, etc)
5. new or used
6. is it easy to modify? (body kits, wheels, exhaust)

this is just the start of a deep dialog. i have been looking at TOO many sports cars and have just about settled on this one. your thoughts may sway the balance. lol

 

Three, but five if you include the GTS ACR, and the 2006 SRT-10 Coupe which was built in 05 and labeled as an 06. The GTS, RT-10, and the SRT-10 convertible.

The SRT-10 Mamba Edition was a special edition white colored Viper with a very unique interior. Only 100 white versions of the Mamba were made. Also, 100 black Non-Mamba special edition Vipers were made. Those black Srt-10 Vipers had the Mamba's interior.

I wouldn't trust Ebay with cars unless you can see/drive them. I've been able to pick up quite a few scams just from the Viper alone.

Try to go new, but if you go used stick under 30,000 miles.

Well with the SRT model, you may have some issues because of the exhaust running out the sides instead of the rear. Other then that I think it should be fairly easy to modify.

Thanks for the info. What about the servicing of the car. Is it expensive and often? (#4) I'm liking what I see with the Mamba Viper so I'm now doing my homework.
