this weekend the lemans viper wiil take down the z06 on the track.[8D] Thats strange I didn't see the viper on the list for practice when I went to americanlemans.com.

 

I'm sorry to say, even though I like the Viper sooo much more, I think that the Z06 will probably beat the Viper at the track.


And where did you see that the Viper will be there?

Oh, a modified Viper? Then that really isn't fair. I'd much rather see a stock one.

 

The zo6 is modified too.[8D] If you have the speed channel it comes on this weekend either sat or sun at 10:30am.[8D]

As much as I'll get flamed for this:

The C6R is thus far unstopable ALMS GT1.

It just won the 12 hours of Sebring.



However the vette guys are nervous about the Viper.


In the SPEED World Challenge GT series Cadillac is currently dominating. The C6 has had some issues with rear ends coming apart and the most recent race the 28 car was leading till 5 laps left when it's Engine blew (current speculation was a broken valve spring)


But these are all "race" cars.
We (for the most part) aren't race car drivers, so save for bragging rates race results have no bearing on us.


What does matter is when we clime into the car that WE OWN are we proud to own it or not? I am a member here and the vette forum and I love both cars. No one can argue the Pedegry of either Vehicle. I don't think the "Enemy" here is the Vette it's Euro cars that people buy, taking money out of the American economy. Why spend 300k for a Ferraries when you can spend that on a Z06 and a Gen III viper and have some left over all the while investing in your nation.
