TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?? SCAM?? Please help FAST!!!
I found a listing for a Viper for $10,000 US dollars
Car is in perfect running condition.
only 10,000 miles
not sure of the year. probably first year out. what year was that?
the guy says it's got a clean title and also sent me the vin #
he says perfect running condition, and everything is like new.
I don't want to get scammed. Is it a steal or is it not far off from normal?
Thanks

what does carfax tell you about the VIN? About two years ago I went after a 1994 with a salvaged title (been wrecked twice but the owner kept it and repaired it) but within one day of posting it was gone--lots of callers. He was asking $15000 and I think he got a little more.
10000 for a clean title sounds a little dubious. Maybe some serious wreck repaired but it didn't get recorded on the title? I had a car like that. The 1991 Sundance was supposed to be totaled by Farmer's Insurance but I bought it back from them. They never did record a salvage or rebuilt title for it. (Maybe because I held the title outright and there was no lien holder to contact??)

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." This quote applies double for cars which generate more consumer complaints than any other item. Like red91RT said, have the VIN checked out. Have it looked at by a mechanic of YOUR choice. Then, if you still buy it, pray.

More than likely its a scam. Anyone would know you could get more from a Viper than 10K.
