i was wondering why Dodge doesn't have a base model for the Viper. They could have a base model @ a price of 65,000. With that a 450Hp v10 or v8 that is connected to a 6spd trans. that is different from the current transmission.
You could have less options on the base model. Then you could add more options to the base model to customize it to your likelynesses.

another model, like the SRT10's could be base models modified by SRT or mopar both.

then it'll be like the charger, magnum, or like the competition.

 

There's really 2 answers to that....

One: too many people would go crazy to allow the Viper to become like the Corvette....offering a waterdowned version of the Viper would only increase sales and go about bringing the Viper name down...as people would go oh...its a Viper....I smoked a Viper in my SRT-4!!!!! Wrong perception to be sending to people who are willing to spend 85-100k on a car.

Two: Dodge will be bringing out another powerhouse V8 gas hog coupe.....so that eliminates the need for it....I guess...

 

Rumor is you'll be getting a 6.1L HEMI powered FIrepower like vehicle soon, from Dodge or Chrysler...

 

Dodge would be losing money, and 405hp is a NO. 450hp was the lowest Dodge should have ever gone.

ok, thx guys. i got the reasons now. and think thats why i don't like the firepower, a waste of time working on the viper.
