Where is the hood latch on the '05 Viper? I can't find it on the one I just bought..Please be as specific and detailed as possible. Thanks.

 

I'm just going to sigh and walk away. Hopefully I can find the door latch on the way out [sm=smiley36.gif]

 

do you have a viper? if you don't please don't comment.

if you do, stop being an ******* about it. it's dark, i can't see, the dealer didn't show it to me, and it's not where any other vehicles hood release levers are. so if you do have a viper, tell me where it is please.

 

I had my friend post this for me because I picked it up in Wisconsin today and I was driving back through freezing rain and some snow. And to top things off I signed a purchase agreement on an 05 SRT 10 Ram with 356 miles that I was also buying a the *** hole sold it because he said he did know I was interested this is after he faxed me a purchase agreement and I signed it and faxed it back. All because I wouldn't emideatly wire him the money.

So the short of it I'm angry, crabby, and tired and it is dark so will someone just hummur me and tell me where the damn thing is.

 

Are you referring to the release or the latch itself?? I am guessing your are looking for the release to open the hood. It is not inside, never has been, maybe it will be different with the GEN IV. As for where it is located, on GEN I and GEN II it is in the cross hairs in the front bumper, drivers side, top slot. I would imagine the GEN III is also somewhere in the cross hairs.

 

I bought my Viper in Wisconsin as well, same time frame, couple days before xmas, but I did not drive it home. Loaded onto a enclosed trailer and had it hauled home.

If you are real serious about purchasing a 05 SRT Ram I know of a few new ones. They are getting hard to find but still a few deals to be had. Once those are gone though the deals will be over, the less than 10,000 owners willdetermine the prices This is why I own the toys I do. When it comes time to sell I will either break even or make some $$ while still enjoying them while I own them. I made up my mind when I liquidated my collection a couple years back, any toys have to be toys that do not loose much money if any.

 

Thank you so much. That is exactly where it was; a guy at the dealer told me to look way up by the gas pedal. Well I talked to the guy we bought it from and hes picking up a 05 white one with blue strips with 6k on the clock.

 

05 W/B SRT Ram should be the commemorative edition, 400 produced.
