Daks are cool too! I'm just too fat...I mean..um...husky for a little truck, lol. Actually I just need to tow stuff and haul stuff and my favorite cargo,a 660 Yamaha Grizzly won't fit in a Dakota, otherwise a smaller truck makes alot of sense for daily duties.

I think the 550's and 700's are actually a little narrower than the 660's plus mine has 2" wheel spacers and 26x12 tires on it. I know mine barely fits and I can't shut my tailgate when it's in there.

The only option is an aftermarket Mopar R3 race block. Cost about $2,500-$3,000 if your lucky enough to find one as they are no longer manufactured. Then about $3,000 to make the block usable then of course rebuild it with my parts , reinstall etc etc. I would easily be another $10,000 for just a block change when all said and done.

On my block we have done a 1/3 partial fill of HardBlock and have a main girdle on it trying to stop it from splitting fingers crossed.
