Nice, hope your right lol. The nut turns couterclockwise right? Like every other bolt and nut out there? After reading all the threads about efans on here, I've noticed more discussion was on the clutch fan removal than the actual efan install. My efan will be here today sometime so I'll unbox it and figure out the wiring. Looks like this coming Saturday will be the only day it wont rain in the next two weeks so thats my weekend project.
Sounds good
UPS just dropped it off. Anyone know off the top of their head what the pinout is on a Mark VIII fan? Which pin goes to what? Im guessing one is for ground, one for low speed, and the other for highspeed.

And then the pinouts I was wondering about.

Oh and teach, I've got a lead on a venom hood up here. Just curious how much did it cost you to get it to fit right? I know you got it painted for free but wondering how much fiberglass work was needed and your cost?

The fiberglass work on the hood for me was minimal, it actually fit fairly well as it was when I got it. And since I did all that work myself to get it to final fit, that cost me nothing as well. I know that when bullet had his he told me that the quote to get it fit and painted was something like $675 from a shop.
holy **** LOL. yeeeah, I may need do a test fit before I commit to the purchase then. Seems like each hood varies so I'll just have to wait and see. It's brand new with the primer still on it so it's never actually been on a truck and thats what worries me. Yours I guess was already on a truck so that probably helped the fitment better.
Yeah, if you are planning on having someone do the work for you I would find out an estimate before you buy the hood. Otherwise you might end up with a hood and no desire to pay that much to get it painted and fitted. Mine was also brand new and I did have to spend a good amount of hours on it to get it fit right.
yea there is just the plug on this one. I'll have to wire it with spade connectors and then seal the plug. I just dont know which pin controls what. I'll have to see if google can give me a hand.
oh crap I completely forgot about the nascar thing! LOL whoops.
Yea I did find some info, but nothing that really answered my concerns. I'm just gunna have to do a test hookup and find out. I'm thinking I'll be able to hear a difference in speeds. Turns out that this fan model was produced in both Mexico and Canada. The canada versions were 2 speed and the mexican ones were only 1 speed. Each fan has the same plug though. Unless I tear the motor cap off, which I dont want to, I''m not sure if its one speed or two speed. Not all that important since I've got a varible speed controller but still be nice to know. But I'll just do a test start on the fan and I'll know what is what. I found a pic of the one speed motor and the ground is the same on both so I won't have to worry about shorting anything.
