Where did you find that thing, on CL, eBay, classifieds?

 

Jay, that really sucks!!!! Do you have a contact name, any recourse?

 

If it was an eBay buy, don't they have some kind of buyer protection?

 

and depending on what credit card he used some have fraud protection on them

 

Good point. And if it is off CL maybe he can go visit the guy who sold it to him.

well guys i used paypal thank god i have an open case dont know what that will do if he disputes it on his behalf...he could always lie like he did to me...ive been dealing with a cpl guys at superchips they want the tuner to be shipped to them ....this sucks man 2 days in a row bad news hopefully s/c will work with me ...i just dont want any issues with the law or this guy he lives in orlando....i guess i shoulda known it was too good to be true....my bad woops....and thanks for the kind words guys he was a soldier and lived a great life and i hope his soul the best ..... i just wish it didnt happen....

If you sent him a Paypal for the tuner, you won't get into trouble. He misrepresented the item and you didn't knowingly buy stolen goods. Paypal should side with you. Explain your situation to Superchips and ask them for documentation you can send to Paypal. That might help your claim with Paypal. Good luck!

yeah scott and brian are gonna work with me im just worried that paypal wont ...it didnt say anything about anything really he fed me a line of bs and im sure he will do the same with paypal...but the unit will be sent back to superchips for recovery for the orig owner...i dunno what will happen on my end but ill keep yall updated....
