I'd probably post up in the 2nd or 3rd gen threads and ask. I don't believe locking hubs are availible for a 1500 but EMS makes them for solid axle trucks so if your '02 is a 2500 you could get them

Hello all. 2001 Dodge Ram SLT Laramie. 5.9 liter big boy motor. Interior almost redone and now time to start restoring the drive train. Seafoam intake and plenum gaskets this weekend.

Bought my 99 Dodge Ram 1500 QC 5.9L about a year ago with 199k on it. Currently has just over 219k on it. It's been running very nicely considering the mileage, but noticing it's time for some sensor replacement and/or cleaning (IAC and TPS mainly), not to mention the plenum plate and gasket replacement (haven't looked yet to check for oil pooling in the intake, but no oil consumption at all thus far!). A nice engine for its quirks as it were

I'm sure this list should be updated...many folks have probably moved on to new trucks.
Ah but wth! Welcome new members!

Was given a 98 SLT with the 5.9 a little over a week ago.
Mentioned to my dad that I was thinking about picking up an old truck as a second vehicle and he said "well hell, I've got an extra one you can have."
It has just been sitting on his land for about a year since he got his F350 diesel.
Got it started and drove it around for a while and everything seemed OK.

6 hour drive home.
...it made it halfway lol. Water pump siezed.

Should be picking it up from the shop tuesday.

...Wish it had made it home first so I could fix it instead of paying a shop to do it...
