Have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 5.9L Gas Engine
I am getting around 11.5 in the city and 15.5 on the highway.
Would getting a Hypertec Power Programmer help the fuel mileage any,
satisfied with the power.
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks

I just found this thread. Please add me to the first post club list.

I found it because I was looking for any helpful tricks to install the heavy cast heads, getting them in position without buggering the gasket. I've never done heads before and should be getting mine back from the shop today.

[Edit: Answered my own question. Use two stock rocker arms screwed in sideways. They make smooth handles and let the head hang at almost the same angle as the block.]

count me in, 2001 Quad cab 5.9. all stock except for a Hughes plenum kit. Purchased new. Does not get driven much, relatively, cause I work from home. Has 150k miles. I am a Chevy guy but very much happy with our (wife and I) two Ram daily drivers.
