Haven't been on here in a while, but I just got caught up on the little I missed...

Meanwhitemopar... have you made sure the cab itself is straight? It would suck to get new doors, go to put them on, and find out they don't fit cause the cab is bent. Anyway, I used to work at an autobody shop and I can paint. So if you get your new body panels and need them painted (and have a place to paint them), let me know!

 

yea, i checked the cab, its still straight. i checked just about everything.. its just my passangers door is so bent i cant close my window all the way, broke the mirror off obviously. fender is a little pushed in by the door... rear door has a few more pushes to them and broke the rear doors window. i put a couple small dents in the cab i can bondo out. and the bed on that side was already ****ed all to hell, so i am not to worried about that..

i found a guy who will sell me the doors w mirrors and windows for 100 each... but they are silver.. and a fender for 60... which is maroon red.. so i am going to buy the two doors, and fender, and the drivers door another time( just to get rid of the dent there) and tehn see if i can find a bed to fix that, if not just a passengers side of the bed and do the spot weld.


i thank the offer on painting, but thats three hours of driving.. ill just get my buddy here to spray it up in his yard.

and to explain what happen, i have slid this truck around corners alot. it sits up there, but it will slide.. i have done this corner a billion times. and i can around if and it went just that little bit to far.. i left off, and did some steering to fix it and it starting rollin straight, and it was woods, then the front right fell off in the only freaking drain hole for effin miles.. and away she went.. tipped and it sucked hangin there by my seat belt.. freaking thing.. i shut it down. got my buddy with his D-max pulled me back up there.. added about 1 quart of oil, and about 7-8 quarts of ATF+4.. and fired it up, kept on driving like it never happen.. i love this truck.. and of coarse stupid me.. pissed me off., i cleared everyone around the corner.. and did it again, and it went perfect.. slide right around..

what pisses me off, if i kept into it, i would have probably either of went all the way around.. or i would have just popped into the woods, and backed out..

 

that sucks bro!!! i was messing around today and almost had an ugly situation similar to that! it had just quit raining and i was pulling into a large shopping center so i decided to have some fun and give it the gas as i made a left turn. i expected it to get a little sideways and then straighten out. weeeeellllll i wound up sitting at the stop sign facing the opposite direction. it spun all the way around!! it was freakin awesome! lol the chick that was riding with me was laughing her azz off!! lol

 

meanwhite, you're crazy for trying to slide a truck that is that tall. I would be worried that I'd flip it over, oh wait...
So what's the verdict on body parts, you buy them off that guy yet?

Southern, in that situation I would just look at her with a straight face and say "I meant to do that", then turn around and go the direction I intended to go in the first place without saying another word (while trying to keep that straight face locked in).
