Default 500hp club

Well since there is a club for damn near everything else...might as well be a 500hp club too!

post up your sexy motor pics and dyno sheets if you're ride is 500hp+

doesn't have to be a truck!! if its a car pushin 500+ to the wheels post it up as long as its a dodge!

here's mine to start it off:

2000 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Sport

quad cab, short bed, 4x4, nv5600 6-spd, Dana60 front/Dana80 p-trac rear, Cummins 24v turbo diesel.

moderately modified.

How about in lieu of engine pics (who wants to look at a stock engine anyway?) I post a dyno vid?

Pretty much stock, other than a billet trans, Hamilton valvetrain and one hell of an EFILive tune, 503/1086

It WILL be in the 1k+ club this spring/summer

very nice

looks like you need more air though for that 500hp tune...pretty smokey.

I need to do pushrods and valve springs so I can tighten my secondaries wastegate. I have it loose for now to keep boost ~65psi. If I go much higher I'll float the valves.

soon as I get those I'm switching to 7x.011SAC injectors with my new adjustments on my tune that should easily break into the 550-600hp range with around 70-75psi on the street. soon as that is done I'll call it good and just try and fix everything else on the truck.

I intentionally want to keep her below 600hp for reliability. 1 broken 6-spd is enough for me

If the truck wasn't a daily driver I could also go for 1000+ club with a 13mm ppump, 6x18's ported/polished/ringed head, 625 studs, cryo'ed bottom end with main studs, and a 364/480 twin set. should be enough to get her right up there

wish carl would dyno his truck...very curious to see what he is puttin down with his beast of a daily driver build...

hes running a 98.5 24v w/P7100, 6x18's, huge compounds + supercharger with boost at idle to get him out of the hole while the twins spool.. and the bastard gets like 17+MPG because of that supercharger giving instant power off idle rather than smoking and wasting fuel till the turbo(s) spool.

he runs 13's without a boosted launch. not sure whether or not he is set up to run 4k though. don't know if he did the springs on the p7100 or not.

Yep, I'm still impressed with how well this truck has run as stock as it is, no doubt more air I'd be at least in the 550 range I think.

The thing I found interesting though is the third run, you see it and it's down 60hp and 150ft-lb from the previous run. Why? Because the FAN came on! I hadn't really thought of it before and how much power it robbed, but there's your proof. Electric fans will be finding their way on there.

Yeah Carl's always tinkering, I've seriously thought about running a supercharger. That blue MegaCab in the background in the vid got Carl's supercharger kit after this dyno event, pretty sure there are vids on CF of it burning the 38's. Pretty impressive I think.

Currently working on triples for it...it needs new injectors so I'll step those up in the 150-200% range. Daily driven, 1100hp (or more) capable rig. Hey, I'm still young so might as well do it now.

very nice

If I could afford it I would go to carls supercharger kit in a heartbeat. Would be nice to have built V8 like acceleration and no smoke...plus just imagine peoples faces hearing a diesel with a supercharger whine

Hmmm, not many people in this club, I like exclusive clubs...here is a run from my truck a couple of years ago, couple mods done since then and haven't been on a dyno since so this is the only proof other than track times.

Just take the outside duals off for the dyno, that's all I used to do with my dually

You think I would still get the same outcome?

Close enough, there isn't a huge difference with the outsides on, it would be a little less but not much
