RE: Flowmaster Exhaust
I have the flowmaster, it sounds great.
But one word of warning. I had dual exhaust put on my 1998 Dodge when it was brand new. Last week a tail pipe feel off and the other was ready to go! It had rusted through! And I keep my truck garaged!
The stock exhaust will last forever (galvenzed steel or something?). But most muffler shops use prebent or low guage steel exhaust, which will last 5 -6 years typically! So if you plan on keeping your truck, think about this. Both Midas and CarX (local shops) use the same stuff and both told me the same thing - at least this time around.
Call differnet shops too, you may find one that doesn't use this lower quality material. At the very least, don't use pre-bent pipes!

RE: Flowmaster Exhaust
I just got flowmaster 50 series on my 02 Ram and it sounds killer. I shopped around my area for the materials used, so this should last for a long time (they guarenteed it for the life of my truck, 1 year for muffler.). Flowmaster mufflers dot com has sound bites for you to listen to.

RE: Flowmaster Exhaust
IMO you cant do any better than the Flowmaster. I have it and love it. it is a catback system but it sounds really tough. I have the pipes out the back and my buddy went with the side we both agree mine sounds better. It is a personal preference but you dont know until its to late.
