Default 1988 W150 - Need help

I have a 1988 W150 with 318 and TBI. I just bought this thing and noticed that it has no power at all. When I slam the pedal down it just goes but it doesn't rev up at all. It seems to be idling ok. It has no ***** at all :*(

Also, it doesn't like to downshift at all. If it does ever do it you can hardly tell since the stupid thing has no power.

The oil pressure gauge doesn't work at all and the temp gauge doesn't work properly. The water pump broke on it when I was driving it and I finally saw it move. Once it hit just past the half mark the engine overheated and stalled on me.

The a/c seems to be working ok but when I put the heat on there is almost no heat at all comming out the vents. One thing I noticed is there is a tiny bit of heat comming out the bottom vent, but only cool or slightly warm air comming out the top vents. As well, there is a toggle switch to turn on the fan for the heater\ a/c. Apparently the fuse box is melted where the fuse went for the fan. So now I have this toggle switch and it only works on the high setting.

Thats it for now. Some ideas and advice on what to do would be appreaciated.

rebuild the engine, when you hook everything up youll probably fix the problems your having! the vacuum system is made up of small stupid plastic hoses, check the bottom of your hood for a diagram, and see if you can follow most of it and see if there is a melted hose anywhere. is it fuel injected or carburated?
