RE: Clear Coat Problem
may i ask why you are using aerosal clear are you touching up a damaged area? What type of Canned Clear is it a Cheap Krylon type or Professional grade Dupont or PPG canned clear? Yes if it is very humid or raining you will have problems with any type of painting/refinishing if using a Rattle can or any product you cannot change the Activator/reducer amount. In general a cheap "rattle can" Clear will dry hazy, i have never seen one look as good as a good clear shot out of a HVLP gun. I use only Dupont midrange Clear with a mid-temp reducer unless it's very muggy and i will use a Hot reducer along with a Sata HVLP digital 2 with a 1.3 tip Gun shoot a Fog coat to give the surface Tooth and wait about 15 minutes go back over with a double wet coat and be careful on side panels! i run about 18 psi on the final coat and the biggest mistake with clear is volume and speed! hope this helps!
