Default dashboard crack!

anyone have a problem with dashboard cracks? my 2001, 50k miles, got 2 cracks on the passenger side- one small, one almost from the windshield to the glove box. Dodge said I was s.o.l., extended warranty company said it was considered trim and not covered. I'm afraid to turn the airbag on, it looks like something from underneath is expanding or something because the crack changes when the heat is on. any ideas or suggestions?

Well depending on the car i know pt's have a bit of a prob with the housing around the ac and radio as far as dash cracks.hmm i would have to guess lh car 300m or concorde i thnk we have seen some of those get replaced. but then again air bag switches are in trucks but i have not seen many of those did you treat it with armor all or something maybe a chemical did it?

as for fear of airbag deployment trust me it dont leak slow if it goes it went ok

did you use any chemicals on it and also what state are you from i know up north we are in what they call the rust belt where if it can rust it will rust so they try and take care of things for us down south they might help out due to severe heat on dash's and the like.

That is what happened to me! It almost seems like there is something wrong underneath and caused it to happen. I am at a dead end- the lady at Dodge Inc. wouldn't let me talk to a supervisor, said "this is the end of the line". She was the first call I made! I have looked in alot of forums, but you are the first I've seen with the same problem. Let me know if you get anywhere! Everyone I've talked to seems not to want to hear about it. S.O.L. to me! I do plan on pursuing this, letters to Consumer Affairs, etc. as soon as I can.
