P0441 engine code
Guys-
I have a check engine light on with the P0441 code coming up - evap system with incorrect purge flow. I took the truck (Dakota, 2004, V8, 4x4, quad, 45,000 miles) to a mechanic and after about 2 hours he found that when he "jiggled the HPMV solenoid" the light went off. I drove the truck for about 100 miles to clear the codes for my inspection (which is 2 months overdue) and before I could get back to my mechanic, the CE light came back on.
I have not even found anything called an HPMV through some googling - is the acronym right? He said you have to be under the vehicle to get to it. Any other ideas of what the problem could be? I'm trying to get under the truck and jiggle this solenoid again to try and clear the light even if just long enough to get my emissions inspection done.
