I was wondering if anyone might have some idea as to what I can try... My stratus is misfiring while at idle and during acceleration. We have changed the spark plugs, tested the wires, tested the coil, the fuel pump, the injectors, the wires, the cam... and everything is testing fine... any ideas what is causing it to misfire? According to the code it is misfiring in cylinder 3. Help please!!!

 

join the club my daytona does the same thing. it has new plugs, wires, distrubuter. I cant find out why it is doing this either. If you here anything on wht this may be let me know.

 

Has all the service been done at the dealer???

If yes, call them up and explain that its still misfiring, but unless you have an extended warranty and/or low mileage its gonna be tough.

If not, call them and ask to speak to the service manager. Don't bother with anyone else. Tell them the problems and what you've done and see if theres something they can do. I'm not familiar with that engine, I wish I could help more Usually a misfire in my car (which is an SRT-4) is the 4th spark plug WIRE being bad...causing the 4th to misfire. Had it replaced once....it'll get replaced again once my car is fixed.
