Default ambient air temp sensor

Help! I just had my '04 caravan in foroil change, Front brakes and also had the battery terminals cleaned. Next day the check engine light came on. Took it back in and was told it was the Ambient Air Temp Sensor. They replaced the sensor and cleared the code. Now I need to know if the ambient air temp sensor is what displays the temp/direction on the diplay insidethe van.Todaythe display showed that it was 111 degrees outside (would be nice, but I live in WI :-) after Istarted to drive it did drop rapidly from 111 to 58, but I wondering if it may be somethingwith the new sensor(& I need to take it back to the dealer since its only been 3 days since my original serv visit) orif something else is now wrong. Thanks for any suggestions!!!

No, thats the sensor that tells the ECU how hot or cold the air in the intake is so it can increase or decrease the amount of fuel injected during cranking.
