I have a 5.2L 318ci Magnum engine, what would make it sound the best?

 

That depends on what kind of sound you want. If you want loud straight pipes all the way. If you want a nice tuned sound go with glass packs or a high flow muffler.

 

If you are looking for a mild but aggressive sound you can look into replacing your muffler with a Magnaflow Wide Open Series. Sounds very good when idling and inside cab noise is not too loud.

yup. . .just cut some holes in the hood and fab up a header yourself that has pipes coming straight off the head then turn up and blow the exhaust right out of the hood. . .that would look awsome, and you'd be heard over a mile away

 

I'm lookin for a loud raw sound with the chopper sound, but now my mom is havin second thoughts cuz straight pipes are illegal so what kind of mufflers would give me the sound i'm lookin for?

 

It all depends on what you can get away with. the shortest and least restrictive is gonna give you the loudest sound.

 

Loudest is straight top fuel style pipes.

But since you wanna keep it legal. hehe A lot of guys prefer flow mast 40 series with a large diameter pipe. I am running Hooker Super Comp headers with 2" pimary tubes through 3" Pipe over flow masters off a 493 stroker with an isky cam with lotsa duration. Needless to say it is a bit loud.

 

I got er dualed out with 18" glass packs 90'ed off at the back with pistol tips
