Hello everyone im new to the forum and i dont even know if im in the right place.
if not please direct me to the proper forum. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi 4X4 Quad Cab SWB.
wooh!! a mouth full. i have about 87,000 miles on it now and i have developed an issue the check engine light came on and a light with a lightning bolt flashing. i dont know what they mean. the book only says take it back to the dealer. but with out the money to pay for diagnostics im kinda stuck. but it has a rough idle to it the RPM's fluctuate and i can feel it when im driving. my dad thinks its a switch in the pedal but i dont have a clue.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

swing it by autozone, checker, or any other local auto shop thathas a scanner they use for free .


it may just have to go to dodge.

do you have an extended warranty? the problem may be covered by a hidden warranty dodge doesnt talk about too.

 

its and elec. issue of some kind it sounds more like a charging issue. fuel inj. needs at least12 volts if not more to run right and would cause stumbles and uneven rpm. is it any worse withe lights on or off? lights get dim?
