Default Groaning noise in Reverse

My truck makes an intermittent "groaning" noise when it's cold; only when backing-up. It's an '04 Ram 5.7L 4x4 auto trans with 51,000 miles. trans fluid level is good.I always let the engine warm-up for 2 minutes or so. Have tried shifting into reverse and waiting with brakes on for 15-30 seconds before moving; same noise. If I shift to Neutral whilemoving it still makes the noise.Everything has always been lubed regularly. Any ideas what to look for? Thanks.

Default RE: Groaning noise in Reverse

I have the same thing in my 95 Dakota. The only conclusion that I can come to is that there is a bearing going out.
