Two questions about rebuilding a 2.5L
My wife blew the engine inour 87 Aries she let it over heat. Im aware the head may be toast,so I tracked a new one down, my mechanic told me being the car was so meticulosly mantained he might not have to bore the cylinders, just ream the ridge. My first question is I found a head for it at my local NAPA store the counter guy told me he can get me a new head assembly,is this with valves or just a bare head? I was told it would be $400. Second question is, if I need to bore the block can I safely go ten over without making the cylinder walls thin and weak, what is the most it can be bored?
