Fuseable links SUCK. I try to track them down and get rid of them. Just put a standard blade fuse inline instead of that junk.

I was just reading on another site for my wifes car about bad batteries. I have lights and the radio works but when I turn to start everything turns off except for the oil light. From what I read the lights and radio might dim a little but shouldnt go out completely. So I am back to hoping that it is the battery. I tried jumping it but I couldnt get it to turn over, but I dont think I could get good contact either.

Well I load tested the battery yesterday and its not the battery. I am going to check the fusible link today and pull the starter and get it checked.

Problem soved. I checked the wire from the ignition to the starter and no power. So I went to the ignition and looked under the dash and low and behold, the ignition wire was not connected. Appaernetly there used to be an alarm on the car and when they took it out they didnt crimp the wire enough, so it came out of the crimp conector.

That will do it every time!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it great when you can fix a problem by soldering a wire and some electrical tape?
