Default Sentry Key won't program...Bad SKIM?

I'm having a problem with my '05 Magnum. I recently purchased a new key at the dealer, and they were not able to program the key (I didn't have 2 keys to program with). They advised me that I need to get a new SKIM module. Does this sound correct?

I have no issue starting the car with the original key, but obviously the car turns off with the key that they were unable to program.

Any ideas?

Sounds like they either don't know how to program it or they are using the wrong key. I think that if the SKIM module was bad then your Magnum would not run. Pm me the last 8 digits of your VIN and I will get you the right key part number to compare to the one that they were trying to program.
