Default Car broken into Help!!!!!

My girls car was broken into last night. They stole my gps and her radio. It is an 01 stratus R/T. Anyways they got in by prying the door handle off but now when I put the key in the ignition the alarm goes crazy. It starts but the alarm wont shut off and the key fab doesnt work anymore. How can I fix this? P.S. I tried the key in the door manualy locking and unlocking and I pulled the battery to reset the system but nothing worked....

See # 8 in the pic below. It is the door lock switch. When you turn the door lock cylinder, the switch tells the alarm to deactivate..When they broke in, it could have killed the switch... Just an idea....

I forgot to mention that there are no dome lights anymore, cant turn them on at all. Doors wont even lock with the power switches. Nothing seems to work but the car starts just fine with the horn blowing.

first off, a glock 27 can help reduce the chance/increase the effectiveness of someone breaking into your vehicle. second, whoever broke in knew what they were doing. if prying the door handle off caused this much trouble, it must be an unintended issue with the automatic door lock system? best thing you can do now, is empty the car and take the battery out so nobody can steal it until you get it fixed.

only thing i can think of is try to disable the alarm by disconnecting it completely. whoever installed the alarm, id call them up and ask them if there is a way you can "unplug" it.

Check your fuses if they ripped the radio they may have damaged wires and shorted some ...
See if the switch is even still attached I have seen them fall off ...
Also they might have damaged the door switch in the door frame, some thieves pull them so the dome light stay off so they are not seen
