Will not idle, sometimes. Heellllppp
I have a 2000 1500 5.9. For the past month she sometimes won't idle on her own. When I start up, it seems to drag, then catches up. I have to press gas pedal a little. Then other times, it drags, then starts up and runs OK. I had meter put to it and fellow said I had bad battery. However, it has never run down, and has good lights at night. One friend said it could be a bad negative battery cable. Another said could be alternater, another said could be idle sensor, another said starter going bad. Please help me.

It would sound like the Idle Air Controller or dirt in the Intake plenum ... I'd try to give it a seafoam treatment and see if that cleans things up ...
