Default 03 GC intermittent starting

Ok, this is actually my parents 03 GC and I'm kinda tired of working on this problem. LOL. Last week they were out of town and all of a sudden when they went to leave a restaurant it wouldn't start. You turn the key, you hear the relay click, no fuel pump whine, and no start. We've tried everything that we can think of, it's not a fuse, or a dead battery, those are ruled out. It's not getting power to the starter at all when you turn the key. Could this be a security feature? They didn't get any remotes with the van as it was a total when they bought it, but we do know it has security on it. Anyone ever ran into this kind of thing before? We can get it to start once in a while, it'll start maybe once, or up to 8 times fine, then nothing. They are afraid to go anywhere with it as I'll have to go tow them back again.

I'd guess the relay for the fuel pump went south ....

Well, I would think so too, if the car would try to start. The starter won't turn over though either.

its the security system in the van.. very well more than likely the relay under the dash that kicks the key sensor when you turn it on .. you can tap on it with a screw driver or what not see if it helps.. when you find the right one.. pull it and replace it..
