does not start, just cranks. There are no engine faults, no codes.. it gets spark and fuel. Everything is good except the compression

Even with low compression like that it should still kick.Have you tried starting fluid.

he said it would start if like 1 or 2 pistons had bad compression, but he said that all of them are gone

i dont really think it needs a new engine, but im no expert. The truck is at Bills Auto Electric in Fayettville, NC. I tried everything i know to fix it. And he tried some things and says they did a piston compression check and theres no compression. I hope i dont need to get a new engine

To get no compression, the pistons are not moving(engine locked up,8 broken rods/pistons,broken crank) or there are holes in 8 pistons or in the cylinders, even if the rings are all broken you will still get some compression even still run without rings.
Was it towed to the shop?

no, just a belt squeak sound. But i figured thats from the mud on it. It stalled out and before that didnt hear any noises. It started back up that night but it didnt want to idle. After it stalled again when i left off the gas it wouldnt start at all anymore. Just cranks
