dakota bucking
Just resently my dakota has been bucking and loosing power. At first I thought the gas line were freezing up so I put some gas line antifreeze in the tank but that didn't solve the problem. Soon after the engine light came on. I got the code out of the truck p1391. Does anybody know what this code means? Any help would be apprechiated.</P>

First off what year is your dak ? because you can pull your codes with your ignition key to do this you must turn ignition on, off , on , off ,and then finally on codes will start to flash using check light . count the first series of flashes for example three flashes for 3 a short pause and then 2 flashes for 2 code 32 example .this code system is easier for theregular joe to use . p1391 sounds like you have an obdII pcm to place in self test you must have drb box to understand the codes listed kind of a pain in the <IMG src=smileys/smiley35.gif border="0">. let me know what she says and I will grab my books to see what your code is </P>

The p1391 code means "Intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position signal".
Just order from your local dealer (I'm not sure if a local parts store would carry)and you can install it yourself and it should run great for you. It's sort of pricey, byit varies by year and engine size. If you give me those details, I can get a round-about price for you to think about...
