alright guys, i am helping my fiances dad with his 1988 dakota v6 se.

the battery was dead (previously running great). we got a new battery and long story short we had the termials switched. Immediatly, the 12g fusiable link (black wire) burnt up. we didnt not know why this happened (we thought we had the battery right mind you) (i know, completely dumb).

so the trials continued, we linked the 12g black wire directly to the + , and you can guess what insued after that. so at this point i take the terminals off and switch them so that they are correct.

for the time being i put the big black wire (from the 12g fusibal link) directly to the + (this wire goes all the way around to the altenator.

well i tried to start the car (after checking all the dash fuses - blown radio, and another 5amp).

put the ket in, buzzer on, headlights, wipers, turn signals, work. no radio - even with good fuse.

i changed the starter relay i beleive (sr121). and nothing.


this is where i am at, i am totally lost, confused, pissed, and have no clue what to do now. any ideas, ect will help extremly.
