I have a ‘95 SOHC neon and the car is skipping randomly. The car will also idle high randomly. It sometimes gives a code which is code 21 O2 sensors, 12 PCM disconnect, 43 misfire. The PCM disconnect I believe is from the starter that I just changed for I had to disconnect the batt. The O2 sensor Code, I checked wiring and found that one plug had come free and found its way to the drive axle. Replaced wires and believe them to be in the correct lineup. The car still skips on start up and at long red lights. Once accelerating the misfire goes away and sometimes it is slow enough that I can hear all cylinders start to pick up proper ignition firing. Once the misfire starts on acceleration it will sometimes backfires, I believe through the induction sys for the sound is soft.
