Need Help Badly

Default Need Help Badly

Having trouble with my 1994 Dodge Spirit 3.0 v6 the thing will not start at all does not turn over i had the starter checked it did not work acording to autozone, so i bought a new one installed it and it will still not turn over. the spark plugs are pretty much new and the battery is fully charged

are you getting power to both wires at the starter? you should check the big wire first it should be 12-14 volts all the time. then have someone hold the key all the way forward in start, and check to see if the smaller wire is getting power. the small wire only gets power when you turn the key to start.

its getting power im pretty sure, since i can hear the thing click unless i am hearing somthing else

The "click" you hear is the solenoid ... If you have no 12 volts on the big wire it won't SPIN ...

Here are some things to check. Load test the battery. Check that the battery cable connections are clean. Check for 12 volts to starter solenoid with the key in the start position. These things should be checked first then the ignition switch, neutral safety switch, starter and starter solenoid. One of these may be faulty.
