ATF +4 or gear oil ?
I have a 2002 Neon sxt , manual transaxle. The CHILTON manual calls for ATF+4 automatic Tranny fluid instead of standard transaxle fluid.
Is this correct ? The ATF+4 does not seem to me to be the correct choice. Thanks in advance.

Thanks , I am no newbie to car repair but somethings still escape me. I like the ocassional challenge to my knowledge.
You may be laughing because it is such a basic question, but when you learn anything by OJT you miss the finer skills of a school trained tech.
Thanks again !

I didn't realize you could use ATF in the power steering until a few years ago.....
