Strange Battery Trouble
So lets start off with a story. I have an 02' dodge stratus, as some of you may know the battery is behind the fender splash gaurd. There is a seperate cable that connects the positive terminal to the top so you can jump start it. This cable had a small cut in it where some metal part of the frame had cut into it a bit.
So tonight I was driving it and stopped at a minimart when my car shut off. I opened the hood and sure enough the frame was dug into this cut and had actually melted it through. I temporarily taped off the active end of the cable. But now the car wont start and there is no sign of power at all. Jump starting did nothing.
So here is where I'm lost. I have yet to take the battery and get it tested because this happened just an hour ago and its 4:30am. I was just wondering that in the event that it's not the battery, what else could have been damaged?
